Alone?
I believe that as created mortal corporeal beings we are alone in this universe. There are no Vulcans or Romulans or Kilngons, etc., that evolved on other planets. This universe was created by God for his pleasure and his purpose. (Gen 1:1,Rev 4:11) If any other planet had beings living on it similar to us they would be in one of two states:
- sinless
- sinful
If they were sinless there would have been no need for Jesus to have been incarnated as a human and to die to pay for our sins. Any of the sinless created beings could have done it. (Rom 6:23)
If they were sinful, somehow Jesus would have to have died and taken care of their sin as well. The logistics of this would be complicated.
Part of the reason we were created was so the angels could see how God works out our salvation and has a relationship with us. (1 Pet 1:12) This would be greatly complicated by another planet with beings created in God’s image.
Beyond this universe is a larger reality of additional dimensions that we were cut off from at the fall. (Gen 3:1-24) It is here that the angels live. Angels that rebelled and are bent on mischief have already interacted with humans in the past by entering our dimensionality. (Gen 6:1-5)
This is probably the origin of the UFO sightings as experts in the field have conjectured. We are as alone as we choose to be. We can choose to reject the relationship our creator offers to have with us. It is our choices that condemn us.
Socrates said “It may be true that the Deity can forgive sin, but I do not know how.” The bible shows how forgiveness and justice are both taken care of. (John 3:13-21) We have to accept the mechanism that God put in place if we choose not to be alone.
