So what do we do?

Social Conservatives Blast Hate-Crime Bill, Saying It Will Limit Free Speech

Progressives I talk to think all this activity is the bees knees.

  • Capitalism should be a crime punishable by death
  • We need to save the planet
  • There is no God
  • Religion should be abolished because it is harmful and irrelevant
  • Government is the solution
  • Spread the wealth

We know from reading the Bible that there will be a great falling away from the truth at the end. This is definitely in play right now. Many churches do not preach the truth of the gospel for several reasons. They don’t want to scare people away by talking about sin. Talk of hell is divisive. The kingdom of heaven is here now, so we need to help people realize it. Jesus rules in our hearts, not in some fabled millennial kingdom. When is he going to get here anyway? He was not really God at all, never claimed to be. We need to save the planet……

They have fallen away and made the gospel irrelevant. At the same time our leadership has been invaded by people that hate Christ, that think Christians are crazy and should be locked up. Who in their right mind could possibly believe in an invisible person that is everywhere, created the whole universe and has some kind of plan??? Everyone that is smart thinks that first there was nothing, then it exploded and over billions of years of random combinations the universe itself brought forth the wonderfully complex life we see about us. You have to be stupid to believe those lying Christians. Since there is no actual God that would have any rules, anything goes as far as sex is concerned. In fact, homosexuality is better because it cannot produce children and will keep the population down.

Besides the falling away of believers, the disbelief of non believers and the rise of weird alternative lifestyles as the norm, there will be a leader that comes to power over the whole earth. Copenhagen in December is another step toward global government. Besides global government, there will also be a global all inclusive religion. The pope kissed the Koran the other day and said muslims are saved. Ecumenical councils and movements are springing up in churches where the gospel is seen as irrelevant.

Increasingly, muslims are becoming more organized and are taking over Europe and are aligning themselves in strategic alliances the bible predicts. The signs are all there that the end is near. It may be weeks but it is probably years away. At some point the final seven years will start playing out, the signs are all falling into place. The big question is “So, what do WE do?”

There is not much we can do to stop the US or the world from sliding into the end time scenario. At some point Jesus is going to come back for his church, the body of believers. The Holy Spirit living in our hearts is restraining the devil from running rampant (you think it is evil and crazy now??? You aint seen nothing ;-) ) When the church is removed the final events will start playing out on earth, culminating in Jesus coming back to earth, stopping the insanity and setting up his 1000 year kingdom.

The big question, what do we do, really only has one answer: get ready. The economy will get much worse and at times food will be either unavailable or too expensive to buy. If you stock up now you will be able to eat while you are getting ready.

So what do you do to get ready?

What are you getting ready for?

If you do not have a relationship with Jesus, the first thing you need to do is find out how to accept Jesus as your savior. Without Jesus there is no hope.

Once you know Jesus you can get ready for Him to return. Read the bible, asking the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and heart to understand it. Use it to transform your mind into the mind of Christ. Pray without ceasing. Really, develop the habit of talking to God about everything. Really listen to what He says back to you. It may be an audible voice, but I would not expect that. He will talk to you in the world around you. Maybe you will hear something on the radio or a conversation in a restaurant or read something and you have a EUREKA moment, the answer comes.

Be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit to do things for other people. Just let God transform you into an image of Himself. The closer you get to Jesus in this life, the closer you will be able to get to Him when He comes back and sets up his kingdom. The more like Him you are, the more He will trust you with a responsible position of authority in His kingdom.

There is a catch: SIN. Taking Jesus as your savior releases you from the penalty of sin, death. Becoming more focused on Jesus will release you from the power of sin. The problem lies in your actual body, what the bible calls the flesh. You have heard “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak”. It is true. We all sin. That is why we need Jesus in the first place. We will continue to sin as long as we are in these bodies that contain the sin nature in the very DNA.

That is OK!

We have a bar of soap!

1 John 1:9 says
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

See, the way to overcome in this life is not to be perfect. That is impossible. We have sin hard wired into our entire being. We will sin. The secret is to watch out for when we choose sin. When we do, if we recognize it, confess it and turn from it, we get credit for overcoming it. This credit is in the form of actually becoming a little more like Jesus.

At the resurrection we will receive new bodies that do not have sin hard wired. At that point we will be free from the presence of sin and will be ready to take our place in’ Jesus kingdom, according to the character we built by following the Holy Spirit and overcoming sin.

We can continue to choose to belong to this world or we can choose to  go with Jesus. It is our choice, with every choice we make.

    Don't wait… there are consequences!

    2 Thessalonians 2:1-11
Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you, brothers, not to be quickly shaken in mind or alarmed, either by a spirit or a spoken word, or a letter seeming to be from us, to the effect that fthe day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For lthe mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

These words may seem scary, but they are a warning. The warning is simple, if you wait, you may not be able to believe, beause of he increase in delusion. It is already happening.

Delusion births deception, and deception, destruction. Destruction eventually ripens to death, this is the second death spoken of in Revelation 20:14 (http://ref.ly/Re20.14;ESV.) This death is eternal!

The only way to stop the delusion is to point your desire in the right direction, that is to desire Jesus Himself. You see, the desire, pointed incorrectly will give birth to delusion. It happened way back in Genesis when Eve was tempted. She desired something forbidden, being deluded she justified it, then accepting the justification she deceived herself thinking there would be no punishment. Once she bit into it, the deception ripened fully to destruction as she was destined for death. Genesis 3:6… So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

"If you do not have a relationship with Jesus, the first thing you need to do is find out how to accept Jesus as your savior. Without Jesus there is no hope."

Get together with Jesus now. Like the scripture above says, you may not get another chance. At some point, after you refuse the gentle nudges of the Spirit enough, he goes away and lets you have what you are asking for. At that point you turn into an "Earth Dweller" and Jesus never makes sense again. Do not be deceived – do it now!
