stroke of the pen, law of the land. Kinda cool huh?
Our country’s sovereignty is being given away, bit by bit. As presidential aide to Clinton, Paul Bergala, succinctly put it: “stroke of the pen, law of the land. Kinda cool huh?”
As Sid Preskitt explains in The Wizardry Behind Fishery Management, the UN held the Earth Summit in Rio do Janeiro in 1992. This is where the treaty called the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) with its companion documents, The Global Biodiversity Assessment (GBA), Agenda 21, and The Rio Declaration were introduced.
“Agenda 21 stands as a comprehensive blueprint for action to be taken globally — from now into the twenty first century — by governments, United Nations organizations and independent-sector groups, in every area in which human activity impacts on the environment”.
This treaty was on it’s way to being ratified by the Senate, regardless of the fact that the scientific study required by it was not even written, let alone performed. Nobody had even seen the GBA or Agenda 21.
Regardless of these facts, the Senate was one day away from complying with the audacious demand of the U.N. and was ready to vote when Dr. Michael Coffman, an eminently qualified environmental scientist, was able to obtain a copy of the 1000-plus page U.N. Global Biodiversity Assessment (GBA) and Agenda 21, from a United Nations office overseas. When the radical nature of the CBD was presented to Congress, the ratification process was halted in its tracks.
This setback was hardly an obstacle to the Clinton Administration, which operated with little regard to the Constitution, but more as presidential aide Paul Bergala succinctly put it: “stroke of the pen, law of the land. Kinda cool huh?” Clinton quickly formed the President’s Council on Sustainable Development (PCSD) with Executive Order 12852 and charged it with implementing the provisions of the un-ratified Convention and Agenda 21. The non-elected members of the PCSD promptly issued 154 specific public policy recommendations to be implemented throughout America.
This is now the law of the land. US fishermen are unable to get permits to fish US waters, vast tracts of US land have been seized and made off limits to all vehicles, all by the stroke of a pen.
This poised to happen again. The Copenhagen treaty, written by Greenpeace and six NGO’s from around the world, is expected to be signed by president Obama and every other world leader. The treaty’s biggest skeptic, Sir Cristopher Monckton has been warning us for months that this treaty will “eviscerate US sovereignty”. Here is a draft copy of the treaty.
Are we going to let the Rio Earth Summit happen again, give away our freedom with the signature of Obama? Actually, the purpose of this treaty will be to set up a global government.
38. The scheme for the new institutional arrangement under the Convention will be based on three basic pillars: government; facilitative mechanism; and financial mechanism, and the basic organization of which will include the following:
(a) The government will be ruled by the COP with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies. The current Convention secretariat will operate as such, as appropriate.
This is a slippery slope. For years our beloved presidents have been signing away our freedom with UN treatys and so called free trade agreements. Anyone who has been watching the UN for any time has noticed two things:
- The countries of the world want to destroy the last super power, the United States of America.
- The UN despises Israel and wants to see it wiped off the world map.
I believe once this treaty is signed in December the United States will have permanently slid over the edge. After that it is only a matter of time before we are a country no more. We have been treating Israel as an enemy for the last ten months. When the US is dissolved, Israel will truly stand alone.
