The Real Epidemic… and it is not H1N1

January 7th, 2010

It is a travesty that more money and hype is spent on eradicating "purported “epidemic” disease like as H1N1.

There are other disease processes which pose a greater danger to children. One of these is HIV, though HIV can be treated and managed.

There is another epidemic that proves fatal to children. The epidemic is causes aver 3,000 deaths to babies every day and is preventable!

And your government has decided that you can help pay for both… first, prevention of epidemic disease but the hidden sinister part, your tax dollars pay for abortions!

Abortion is not an agonizing, private, personal choice, it is the selfish extermination of human life in the name of convenience!

May God have mercy on all of us!

Brit Hume’s Firestorm with American Pastors

January 7th, 2010

Usually television is a huge sewer pipe running into peoples’ homes. But, there is something terribly wrong when a pastor has a problem with truth being proclaimed on television. Seriously… there are pastors who have a problem with Brit Hume and the statements he made on nationally televised news programs?

The bible tells us there will be scoffers (2 Peter 3:3) in the last days… and this “firestorm” has truly identified many of them. And as times marches to its climax, the bible also warns of increasing delusion. Even to the point that some of the very elect may be fooled, if possible. (Matthew 24:4-26, 2 Thessalonians 2:5-11)

I think it is refreshing to have this issue discussed on a channel other than the Laodicean TBN! It also helps us to identify those shepherds who may have been deceived. After all, like me, they are dust, and will make mistakes. Let us follow Jesus, and not others as they follow Jesus.

Jesus didn’t say preach it except when you are working or are a government employee. There were no exceptions.

In fact, let us pray for boldness in sharing our own faith! Ephesians 6:19-20

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

January 7th, 2010

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!
A friend sent this along to me. I can’t think of a reason to disagree.

I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends. My friend and neighbor wants to promote a “Congressional Reform Act of 2010″. It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I know many of you will say, “this is impossible”. Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government, now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress – the entity that represents us.

We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House. These people will become American hero’s..

Thanks,
A Fellow American

Congressional Reform Act of 2010

Based on the premise that serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.

A. Two Six year Senate terms
B. Six Two year House terms
C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms

2. No Tenure / No Pension:

A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security:

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.

4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans.

5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise or allow an automatic pay raise if they do not vote to stop it.

Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11 .

The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

We do not need 2000 pages of weasel words. The US Constitution is only 17 pages long and has governed the country for over 200 years. One page of direct points like this will do the job.

Is any politician brave enough to sponsor this bill? We should make sponsoring this bill a requirement for being elected in 2010.
