It is highly interesting that this column did not make it online today. It was printed in today’s print edition paper!

The author, a college professor, offered to you the most egregious political lies offered in 2009. How interesting is it, in the author’s opinion, the lies all emanate from the Republican side of the aisle?

What I would like from the so-called main stream media is honesty! Oops, my bad! That requires character and morality.

Had the author offered some semblance of honesty, it probably would have been an enjoyable read. But to be slapped upside the head with a partisan rant, is unconscionable! Since I do not own a bird, there is no other compelling reason for me to take delivery of this paper.

The great writer, Mark Twain, once said that “there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.” Twain knew a thing or two about stretching or inventing the truth, and he recognized the same tendency in our politicians, joking “there is no distinctly American criminal class except Congress.”

Interesting that the author would employ this quote to introduce the article… yet excuse HIS obvious party of choice. Yet, Mr. Twain would be shocked at what passes for objective journalism!

That same party:

- being solely responsible doubling the national debt to 12 trillion dollars

- endorsing a President who promised THREE days to read legislation on-line before it is voted on

- that eschews Constitutional authority for any law they pass

- that has enslaved future generations

- that has CHOSEN to vote against the will of Americans
