America Betrayed President Bush
The unspoken irony in the title of this article drips heavily onto my heart. I am no Bush apologist, however, I do think that he did his best in the office. He executed his duties with dignity.
There is a power behind the political machinations of this world that is incredible, but not undefeatable. That power exists, but is subservient to the will of God. That power also knows his time is very short.
We sacrifice our children for the god of convenience. We sacrifice our freedom at the altar of government handouts. We sacrifice our individuality to the god of conformity. We, in America, are reaping what we have sown.
We can no longer see dignity. President Bush acquiesced to his advisors in the later years, and that is my beef with him. But as a whole, he honored his country and its citizens.
And looking back only one year, there is a stark and striking revulsion to the Constitutional freedom of the individual by the current occupant of the office!
Thank you, George Walker Bush!
