The Jesus Christ Show
Recently… I had a real sickening, but surreal encounter.
I was recently scheduled for jury duty, but the evening before, a last Sunday night, I was summoned to work by my employer at 9:30 PM. Being on call, unless I can find someone to take the job, I do have to go. Unsuccessful in that, I prepared myself for the one hour drive, letting my customer know my predicament.
As I got in the van and started it up, I turned up the radio. It is my custom to listen to talk radio, and it is usually tuned to WIOD. What I heard… well… it made me want to vomit!
The show that was playing was your standard host with the ability for listeners to call in. Well the fist call-in I heard, the caller called the host Jesus. After listening for a few minutes to see if the host would correct the guy, I was disappointed, yet not unexpected.
The show was called The Jesus Christ Show. The host calls himself the “holy host,” yet plays the part as if he was Jesus. He talks bible verses in FIRST PERSON. Yet, will have to ask callers the names of their spouses. That makes me wonder…
Anyway, I continued to listen with discernment for my hour drive… He gives somewhat sound counsel from the bible, albeit in first person, as if it were his idea. He speaks of his “own” death on the cross, flippantly.
After wrapping up my task, and heading home, I was able to catch the last half-hour of the show. People called in actually thinking this guy was the real Jesus! He counseled them and encouraged them. I mean, I could not figure out if this was comedy or what, I thought I had entered some kind of time warp… yeah I was almost playing that song in my head!
But, I could knew what I was hearing, by the witness of the Holy Spirit… it was BLASPHEMY!
On arriving at home, I immediately checked out the website, including the advertisement for the “comedy show,” this “Jesus” hawked in the tradition of the radio hosts need to pay bills. (As if his father did not own the cattle on 1,000 hills!)
But sadly, looking at the FAQ section on the website, you’ll find…
Q: Does the “Holy Host” really think he is Jesus?
A: No, the show is interactive radio theater designed to teach people more about themselves and the historical person of Jesus Christ.
Is it just me, or is it wrong for someone to obfuscate, lure or otherwise trick someone to get them to listen to the truth of the gospel?
Or worse, steal glory from the Holy One?

Youth violence: Grandmother of burned boy speaks out about youth violence
Really?
Just saying we ought to do these things is going to help?
Do you not understand what the real problem is?
You cannot speak to oughtness or even good morality if you hold to the religion of modernity, that of the belief that there is no God and natural selection is responsible for their existence.
If you instill into these kids that they are nothing but an animal, and in the animal kingdom, might makes right. How then do you expect them to behave? Animals have no morality… when a dog steals another dog’s food, does the doggy thief feel bad and then atone for the theft?
Really… the game is survival of the fittest. That is what they are taught in science from grade school through college. There is no basis for morality in that… or even oughtness, yet we expect it!
So let us go back to the basics, teaching all that they are made in the image of their Creator, and as such, every human has great value. Instead of teaching them that life is cruel, teach them that man is noble, yet can be cruel.
Teach them that all life is valuable, especially human life. Teach them that there will be consequences, temporal and eternal. Teach them that there are morals, because the Creator is just and right, and expects us to be like Him.
Do not teach them that they are just animals… and then be shocked when they act like it.

In U.S., Confidence in Newspapers, TV News Remains a Rarity
Is it any wonder?
We have been lied to for years…. now it is worse than ever.
I quit my local newspaper… I did not want to PAY for them to insult me by disdain for Christianity. I still find it difficult to shell out the money for the Sunday edition.
Check out the numbers, they are not good. But guess what, they will get a government bailout, too.

School Group Told Not To Pray On U. S. Supreme Court Steps
Another story that shows the mettle of our Next Greatest Generation.
This reprehensible act occurred earlier this year in May. A small school group bowed their heads to say a prayer on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court. They were approached by a police officer and told…
“Ma’am, I’m not going to tell you that you can’t pray, but you can’t do it here,” he said, according to Mrs. Rigo. “Please go somewhere else.”
Is this not chilling?
The First Amendment is almost completely done in. Once the newspapers are bailed out, where will you get your news?

2 Months After Students Silenced, Crack NBC Washington Bureau Breaks the Story
2 months after some of our Next Greatest Generation were caught in an act of alleged “civil disobedience,” NBC got the scoop!
Sadly, why is singing the U.S. National Anthem a demonstration? Furthermore, why are there “completely content neutral” areas in any U.S. National Park? And then that begs a really OBVIOUS question… isn’t that oxymoronic?
But then the journalist, probably a college graduate, is most likely a moral relativist, and may not understand the issues involved.
Sigh! There is no such thing as a free press in corporate-controlled newsrooms. Truth is what the state says is true, when it says it is true.

Stephen Hawking: Abandon the Earth
Stephen Hawking in Abandon the Earth says…
“It will be difficult enough to avoid disaster on planet Earth in the next hundred years,”
Yessirree… I will almost say it will be darn near impossible! We can both agree this, however, the particulars of the cause and solution are very different.
My outlook is taken from yet future events as they are recorded in the books of Daniel and the book of the Revelation. In these, is written a detailed description of coming events in a future time of great tribulation on Earth. It was also spoken of by Jesus, at length, in Matthew 13. It will be terrible to behold, let alone live through.
The escape, though, will not be on space ships… it will be a call by Jesus Himself!
You want to make sure you can hear the escape call? Check out this from Wretched Radio.

Is Christianity Religion?
All religion, basically, is man’s effort to raise himself or make himself acceptable to God. Muslim, Hinduism, Buddhism even Mormonism and to some extent Catholicism require certain work or duty to become accepted. They all have their different tenets, but there is always something YOU have to DO to become acceptable to God.
This is played out in the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3. After their eyes were opened to good and evil, they knew they were naked. They tried to cover themselves with leaves to hide their nakedness and make them acceptable before God. That was the first religious act.
But Christianity is different…
The Bible tells that there is none righteous and that no one seeks after God. (Romans 3:10-18) In fact it goes so far to say that we have all sinned. (Romans 3:23) It instructs us that the burden of death on the physical world is the result of sin. (Romans 6:23)
But there is a Remedy offered in the second half of Romans 6:23, where Paul speaks of a gift from God through one man Jesus Christ. If we step a few verses backward, it tells us that even though we were not yet born, nor even considering to stop sinning, that Jesus died for us. (Romans 5:8)
So there is nothing any of us can DO to please God. What condition are we left in if we then have no hope to please God?
Romans 10:9 offers the solution. It is to look upon yourself, and agree with God on your condition and the finished work of Jesus who took our penalties upon Himself willingly! A few verses later in Romans 10:13 it is declared "For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”"
The results of salvation are summed up in a few more verses. In Romans 5:1 we find we have been justified and have found peace with God. Romans 8:1 then explains that we have been removed from our former condemnation. A little further ahead in Romans 8:38-39 we read that there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God.
That is Christianity… we are justified by faith alone, through God’s grace alone in Jesus Christ alone!

Clinton texts a $10 donation to Pakistan flood relief
Wow! A whole $10!
All this week we have been saturated with the approaching “royal” wedding. After all the Clintons are busy planning to spend up to $5,000,000 for Chelsea’s wedding. Yet, Hillary Clinton has the time, and extra cash to “set an example” for the rest of us. by texting $10 for some truly in need.
The example brings to mind words like stingy, cheap and miserly… however these do not even begin to describe the discrepancy! That is just .0002% of the projected spending on 1 PERSON! There may be an estimated 12 million who will need aid in and around Swat Valley Pakistan due to the floods.
Those who work hard to bring home an average salary will probably never come close to earning $5,000,000. Yet these same people will gladly send $10 to help another. That $10 costing them personally almost an hour of labor. This would be a great sacrifice to a majority of generous and self-less Americans.
While those in Pakistan will have trouble finding just clean water to drink, the political elite (read left) will be wining and dining on all the best that there is!
These are the same people who tell us they are the champions of the poor. I think they are nothing more than modern day slave traders who steal from hard working Americans.
Do we need any other example of the hypocrisy of the democrats?
Regardless of your political leanings, if you would like to help those in need and live in the U.S., please text the word SWAT to the number 50555. Please bear in mind that the donation goes to a United Nations relief agency UNHCR.

Senate approves Obama nominee Kagan to top court
Five Republicans supported this nomination. This is just more evidence that both political parties are taking us to the same place. There are some Republicans who want a spot in the ruling class… instead of being a true opposition to the party of dangerous communitarian or totalitarian “isms.”
The GOP needs a grand old makeover! It needs to go back to its anti-slavery roots!
When I get the solicitation calls to donate to the Republican party, and try to explain that I do not want ANY of my money to go to support these unprincipled politicians, they cannot guarantee that.
Furthermore… until they have a unified voice, and a PLAN to defeat the vast expansion of government and converse enslavement of the citizenry, they WILL only receive tepid support. Why vote for the republicans who position themselves as “democrat-lite” when I can vote for the real thing? (As if I would!)
My answer to the GOP, you still get NONE of my money! I donate my sweat to those candidates who are actually worthy!
