‘Planned recession’ could avoid catastrophic climate change – Telegraph
Whoops… someone let the word out in this one!
As we are all encouraged by our media and elite to look upon Europe as the epitome of class and society… our U.S. “leadership” looks to the third world and tin-pot dictators. Well, it seems, while Rome is burning and Nero is fiddling… someone let the proverbial cat out of the bag!
This whole global climate change scare is just that… it is a scare. A scare tailor-made for the “king” (i.e. government) to extract even more “tribute” (private wealth) from the “serfdom” (you and I.) This is the standard practice of government that has NEVER evolved. Whether it is an individual king or queen, or a group of lawmakers, the tendency is to amass power and control. History shows this, and it is happening again. Governments are amassing power… this time, though, it seems to be on a global scale under the guise of global climate change, with the subtext of unity in diversity.
“This would mean reducing the size of the economy through a “planned recession”.” After reading this sentence, one begins to wonder why we find ourselves in the current economic downturn. Could it be we are already in a “planned recession?”
The economic downturn that we find ourselves in now is severe enough, we do not need another to force “cutting greenhouse gases by a third (they want 70%) by 2020.”

Big Government » Blog Archive » Obama Cap-and-Trade Scheme: What do “necessarily skyrocket” and “bankrupt” mean?
Golly… can I say that?
Really! I think lawyers are the root of most of the problems we have. What I mean is this… that doing the right thing has taken a back seat to doing the expedient thing.
That is SIN.

Local ministry strives to rescue children in Latin America | The Good News
Local ministry strives to rescue children in Latin America | The Good News
Be very careful you do not fall into this crowd. We are encouraged to care for those who are less fortunate.
There are many in this world who go to bed hungry at night, even in this nation. As much as we have, we think we are materially poor. Yet we do not want for food, water or shelter.
There are others, who struggle each day to find those things we take for granted. They could even be the homeless man on the side of the street!
I am encouraged and know from personal experience the promised in Malachi 3. If you step out in faith and tithe, God will open the storehouse and you cannot keep it all. It is His economy that He encourages us to release the grips on the things we cling to in this world. When you do, you are more able to see things through His eyes.
I know times are tough, and there are those making great sacrifice. I challenge all of us to set something aside and be ready to be a blessing to someone else in need. Whether it be supporting a child in Latin America, or helping someone in your neighborhood, be ready!
It is not the act of giving that God blesses, but the willingness and intent of the heart. Give because there is need, not in obedience to God.
The true test is the condition of your heart, not what you do!

Is it any wonder that one of the queens of feminism, Maureen Dowd rues the fact that feminism is not working. I think the article is analyzed well. Feminism does not work because it has a failed view of authority.
Now I know what you are thinking, I am a man and I love for my wife to be submissive. But I too, have to submit… to my God, my boss, my pastor and even my worship leader! These are just some of the authorities I to which I must submit, as long as they do not cause me to commit sin, I must obey. Even if I think they are wrong, I still must submit!
Submission, I think, is never quite mastered. This is only for the fact that when you submit, you put away your pride! Yikes, that will hurt!
We all look at authority wrong. Those that have authority should never use it to be severe task masters or cause others to sin. Today, authority is being abused as an opportunity to USE and OWN people! That is incorrect In God’s economy authority is responsibility! Practically and rightfully exercised, authority figures know they will give answer for their use of that authority.
Authority and submission to it is meant to be a blessing. The one in authority, by properly exercising it, covers the ones who submit! This covering is meant to be a blessing! In other words, the person in charge protects those who submit to them!
It is amazing when we stray from God ordained authority, how things do not work. God’s plan is simple, obedience, that is the hard lesson we have to learn temporally.
Read Owen’s last paragraph, it says it all!

The Person of Christ
This appeared in a tweet I received today. It is an interesting article that expounds on the deity and humanity of Jesus. There are numerous references to scripture throughout. It is a worthwhile read!
It is interesting to note… and reflect upon the fact that while the God of the universe, forever put on flesh… He will forever bear the marks of His purchase. Yet we are given temporal bodies and we mark them with sin, and when we repent of our sin and accept the finished work of Jesus, we are given an eternal PERFECT body!
Happy reading… by the way, the article is in a pdf file, so you can take it with you. And for those who already have the ESV Study Bible… it is in there, too!

Radiometric Dating… is it infallible?
I was asked by an atheist about how I can question radiometric dating, the basis for dating the age of rocks in science. Evolutionists use this data as “proof” for the age of the earth. Radiometric dating is a measurement based on radioactive decay of certain elements to validate the age of artifacts and rock layers. Some will claim this is infallible, but is it?
It is a bit odd, for the evolutionist who rejects Christianity because of its “assumptions.” However, the premise that we can know the rate of radioactive decay may be essentially based on assumption. The assumption that the speed of light is a constant, meaning it is the same today as it was 1,000 years ago, 5,000 years ago, or even (allegedly) 1,000,000 years ago. Radioactive dating alone would seemingly put any creationist out of business… but to put it in perspective, there are outs! Continue reading »

Are We Alone in the Universe?
Are we alone in the universe?
Consider the expanse of all of creation; the astronomical distances just from the Earth to the Sun are astounding alone. But when you start to add in the distances between the Sun and the nearest star and then look at some of the recent Hubble telescope photos, it does make you wonder truly if we are not alone.
I believe that we are not alone. You see… From my perspective, We live in a great universe composed of significantly huge galaxies, stars, planets and spaces. I do wonder with all the space how we can be the only ones to exist in it! I have no reason to believe we are not alone… Continue reading »
