In Blessing I Will Bless Thee…

March 15th, 2010

The relationship between the U.S. and Israel is strained to say the least. We have a President and majority in Congress that is eager to cram any peace agreement upon an unwilling Israel.

“Let’s cut the family fighting, the family feud,” Lieberman said. “It’s unnecessary; it’s destructive of our shared national interest. It’s time to lower voices, to get over the family feud between the U.S. and Israel. It just doesn’t serve anybody’s interests but our enemies.”

This is a very interesting analogy… and this verse comes to mind – Genesis 12:3. While some may consider it quaint writing, it is not. It is part of a covenant God made with Israel… It was a one way covenant, one He would keep!

But notice the wording, when we bless Israel, we are blessed… and when not, well it is plainly written, no wiggle room!

And there is still talk of divvying up Jerusalem for a peace agreement with the Palestinians (English for Philistines.) Can I show you why this is a bad idea?

Look in Zechariah 12 and especially Zechariah 12:3… we live in THAT day when Jerusalem is a burdensome stone to all nations. Check out the warning: those who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces.

We really need to seriously consider the recent change in our policies toward Israel and especially Jerusalem. I stand behind Bibi… and while we are on the subject.

Do what Psalm 122:6 says, and reap the blessing in the latter part of the verse!

Shalom! Shalom to Jerusalem!
