Congressional Reform Act of 2010
THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!!
A friend sent this along to me. I can’t think of a reason to disagree.
I am sending this to virtually everybody on my e-mail list and that includes conservatives, liberals, and everybody in between. Even though we disagree on a number of issues, I count all of you as friends. My friend and neighbor wants to promote a “Congressional Reform Act of 2010″. It would contain eight provisions, all of which would probably be strongly endorsed by those who drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
I know many of you will say, “this is impossible”. Let me remind you, Congress has the lowest approval of any entity in Government, now is the time when Americans will join together to reform Congress – the entity that represents us.
We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the US Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the US House. These people will become American hero’s..

Congressional Reform Act of 2010
Based on the premise that serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.
A. Two Six year Senate terms
B. Six Two year House terms
C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms
2. No Tenure / No Pension:
A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security:
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans.
5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise or allow an automatic pay raise if they do not vote to stop it.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
6. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.
7. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11 .
The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

We do not need 2000 pages of weasel words. The US Constitution is only 17 pages long and has governed the country for over 200 years. One page of direct points like this will do the job.
Is any politician brave enough to sponsor this bill? We should make sponsoring this bill a requirement for being elected in 2010.

Oh yes, he truly is the messiah!

If you look at http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com/ you can see why I believe he is the antichrist. This site is a distillation of the worship that is given to him by us citizens and people from other countries as well. Watch that you are not deceived.

I have nothing against the man personally; I have never even met him. I do know he is not the messiah and resent him being treated as the messiah by the press. I also resent how he surrounds himself with radical communist true believers that commission artists to create propaganda art for him. I also resent how he is trying to dismantle the free market system, brick by brick.
I am amazed that he believes in an economic philosophy that has completely failed everywhere in the world it has been tried. I guess he believes his own press. Maybe he truly believes he is the messiah.
I just hope we have a country left when his reign is over.

Local ministry strives to rescue children in Latin America | The Good News
Be very careful you do not fall into this crowd. We are encouraged to care for those who are less fortunate.
There are many in this world who go to bed hungry at night, even in this nation. As much as we have, we think we are materially poor. Yet we do not want for food, water or shelter.
There are others, who struggle each day to find those things we take for granted. They could even be the homeless man on the side of the street!
I am encouraged and know from personal experience the promised in Malachi 3. If you step out in faith and tithe, God will open the storehouse and you cannot keep it all. It is His economy that He encourages us to release the grips on the things we cling to in this world. When you do, you are more able to see things through His eyes.
I know times are tough, and there are those making great sacrifice. I challenge all of us to set something aside and be ready to be a blessing to someone else in need. Whether it be supporting a child in Latin America, or helping someone in your neighborhood, be ready!
It is not the act of giving that God blesses, but the willingness and intent of the heart. Give because there is need, not in obedience to God.
The true test is the condition of your heart, not what you do!

Gadhafi Exposes Obama Ineligibility?
“WE AFRICANS ARE HAPPY, PROUD THAT A SON OF AFRICA GOVERNS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” HOW’S THAT AGAIN?
There has been growing interest and speculation regarding the eligibility of The One who currently sits in The Oval Office. To be a presidential candidate, it is clearly explained in the Constitution that to even run for election for the high office, one must be a natural citizen of the United States, which means, being born here. The ruling is so strict that one cannot even hold a dual citizenship and become President. Without intending to, Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi let a cat out of the bag during his speech at the U.N.
All questions regarding the birthplace of Barack Obama have been shot down with heavy artillary. As reported, Obama himself has spent over a million dollars for lawyers to silence anyone who questions him or his press secretary and asks to see a copy of his birth certificate. Continue reading »

There’s an old sea story in the Navy about a ship’s Captain who inspected his sailors, and afterward told the Chief Boson that his men smelled bad.
The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change underwear occasionally. The Chief responded, “Aye, aye sir, I’ll see to it immediately!
The Chief went straight to the sailors berth deck and announced, “The
Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change your
underwear. Pittman, you change with Jones, McCarthy, you change with Kwiatkowski, and Brown you change with Schultz. Now get to it!!!”
THE MORAL:
Someone may be promising “Change” in Washington; but don’t count on things smelling any better !

I’m not against America. I am so in…
I’m not against America. I am so in…..
I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama. Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama!
I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it. I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that He is a one-term President!
Why am I doing this?
- It is because I do not share Obama’s vision or Value system for America ;
- I do not share his Abortion beliefs;
- I do not share his radical Marxist’s concept of re-distributing wealth;
- I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August);
- I do not share his view that America is Arrogant;
- I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation;
- I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%;
- I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than American Citizens who need help;
- I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage;
- I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land;
- I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public);
- I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America ;
- I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East, and certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran .
Besides, he has no clue that God’s chosen people are Israel and we are to bless them, not take away from them. Those that curse Israel are cursed by God. Those that bless Israel, are blessed by God. Pray for His people.
(Israelites were God’s chosen people, but they rejected Him, His teachings and His Son! They are now in the same boat as the rest of us, to accept or reject His teachings and the consequences of our choice. The nation Israel is still the apple of God’s eye. He is not done with them yet!)
Bottom line, my America is vastly different from Obama’s, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my God to do what is Right!
For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our Society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs!
They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our Country! They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant!
They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years; they have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country! They have made every effort to remove the name of God or Jesus Christ from our Society! They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code; they have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech!
Unite behind Obama? Never!
I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of Evil!
PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him. However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!!
Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and “his goals for America .” I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our Country!! Any more compromise is more defeat!
I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America !
