The Inerrancy of Scripture

August 17th, 2010

Albert Mohler sums writes on his now 60 year stance on the inerrancy of scripture. He says…

“[W]hen you encounter a present-day view of Holy Scripture, you encounter more than a view of Scripture. What you meet is a total view of God and the world, that is, a total theology, which is both an ontology, declaring what there is, and an epistemology, stating how we know what there is. This is necessarily so, for a theology is a seamless robe, a circle within which everything links up with everything else through its common grounding in God.”

You see, it is this “grounding” in God that sticks everything. If your morality is not grounded, it becomes subject to relativity. God is unchangeable. He is the uncaused. He is eternal, holy, good, just and righteous… just to start.

The bible, to me is an amazing document. It has withstood almost 2,000 years of naysayers… yet eventually, disproves them all.

So, when you compare yourself to the standard declared in just the ten commandments, how do you stack up?

I know I don’t! BUT… I thank God for a Savior Who could AND DID, thereby covering me and anyone else who places their faith in that fact!

Check out what Albert Mohler has to say about the inerrancy of scripture.

Youth violence: Grandmother of burned boy speaks out about youth violence

August 15th, 2010

Really?

Just saying we ought to do these things is going to help?

Do you not understand what the real problem is?

You cannot speak to oughtness or even good morality if you hold to the religion of modernity, that of the belief that there is no God and natural selection is responsible for their existence.

If you instill into these kids that they are nothing but an animal, and in the animal kingdom, might makes right. How then do you expect them to behave? Animals have no morality… when a dog steals another dog’s food, does the doggy thief feel bad and then atone for the theft?

Really… the game is survival of the fittest. That is what they are taught in science from grade school through college. There is no basis for morality in that… or even oughtness, yet we expect it!

So let us go back to the basics, teaching all that they are made in the image of their Creator, and as such, every human has great value. Instead of teaching them that life is cruel, teach them that man is noble, yet can be cruel.

Teach them that all life is valuable, especially human life. Teach them that there will be consequences, temporal and eternal. Teach them that there are morals, because the Creator is just and right, and expects us to be like Him.

Do not teach them that they are just animals… and then be shocked when they act like it.

In U.S., Confidence in Newspapers, TV News Remains a Rarity

August 13th, 2010

Is it any wonder?

We have been lied to for years…. now it is worse than ever.

I quit my local newspaper… I did not want to PAY for them to insult me by disdain for Christianity. I still find it difficult to shell out the money for the Sunday edition.

Check out the numbers, they are not good. But guess what, they will get a government bailout, too.

School Group Told Not To Pray On U. S. Supreme Court Steps

August 13th, 2010

Another story that shows the mettle of our Next Greatest Generation.

This reprehensible act occurred earlier this year in May. A small school group bowed their heads to say a prayer on the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court. They were approached by a police officer and told…

“Ma’am, I’m not going to tell you that you can’t pray, but you can’t do it here,” he said, according to Mrs. Rigo. “Please go somewhere else.”

Is this not chilling?

The First Amendment is almost completely done in. Once the newspapers are bailed out, where will you get your news?

2 Months After Students Silenced, Crack NBC Washington Bureau Breaks the Story

August 12th, 2010

2 months after some of our Next Greatest Generation were caught in an act of alleged “civil disobedience,” NBC got the scoop!

Sadly, why is singing the U.S. National Anthem a demonstration? Furthermore, why are there “completely content neutral” areas in any U.S. National Park? And then that begs a really OBVIOUS question… isn’t that oxymoronic?

But then the journalist, probably a college graduate, is most likely a moral relativist, and may not understand the issues involved.

Sigh! There is no such thing as a free press in corporate-controlled newsrooms. Truth is what the state says is true, when it says it is true.

Clinton texts a $10 donation to Pakistan flood relief

August 6th, 2010

Wow! A whole $10!

All this week we have been saturated with the approaching “royal” wedding. After all the Clintons are busy planning to spend up to $5,000,000 for Chelsea’s wedding. Yet, Hillary Clinton has the time, and extra cash to “set an example” for the rest of us. by texting $10 for some truly in need.

The example brings to mind words like stingy, cheap and miserly… however these do not even begin to describe the discrepancy! That is just .0002% of the projected spending on 1 PERSON! There may be an estimated 12 million who will need aid in and around Swat Valley Pakistan due to the floods.

Those who work hard to bring home an average salary will probably never come close to earning $5,000,000. Yet these same people will gladly send $10 to help another. That $10 costing them personally almost an hour of labor. This would be a great sacrifice to a majority of generous and self-less Americans.

While those in Pakistan will have trouble finding just clean water to drink, the political elite (read left) will be wining and dining on all the best that there is!

These are the same people who tell us they are the champions of the poor. I think they are nothing more than modern day slave traders who steal from hard working Americans.

Do we need any other example of the hypocrisy of the democrats?

Regardless of your political leanings, if you would like to help those in need and live in the U.S., please text the word SWAT to the number 50555. Please bear in mind that the donation goes to a United Nations relief agency UNHCR.

Senate approves Obama nominee Kagan to top court

August 6th, 2010

Five Republicans supported this nomination. This is just more evidence that both political parties are taking us to the same place. There are some Republicans who want a spot in the ruling class… instead of being a true opposition to the party of dangerous communitarian or totalitarian “isms.”

The GOP needs a grand old makeover! It needs to go back to its anti-slavery roots!

When I get the solicitation calls to donate to the Republican party, and try to explain that I do not want ANY of my money to go to support these unprincipled  politicians, they cannot guarantee that.

Furthermore… until they have a unified voice, and a PLAN to defeat the vast expansion of government and converse enslavement of the citizenry, they WILL only receive tepid support. Why vote for the republicans who position themselves as “democrat-lite” when I can vote for the real thing? (As if I would!)

My answer to the GOP, you still get NONE of my money! I donate my sweat to those candidates who are actually worthy!
