Oh, great! Now they have another way to excuse their churlish behavior and naiveté!

Most people would just read past these words… but there is a sinister tone to them. Conservatives have a mental disorder!Considering today’s deeply divided political climate and the escalation of class warfare, all things liberal are highly exalted, well usually only by liberals.
While the rest of us live by notions of honesty and hard work, there are some who would also want to benefit from that honesty and hard work, without sharing in the same. These, less than honest, ne’er-do-wells have the support of the so-called elite, those who think themselves better than the rest, whether by education, social status or wealth. Only because they can easily be trained to perform the menial tasks required to keep the gentry comfortable and entertained.
But now, with the backing of “science,” it is easy to just declare anything other than liberalism a mental disorder, as is already classified religion and belief in the supernatural. They can then, gather those “ill” conservatives and zealots in places where they can receive adequate, humane treatment.
Nah, can’t happen… or can it?
So much is done under the banner of progressivism – feminism, diversity, tolerance… don’t forget abortion, euthanasia, and eugenics. All devoted to the god of self.

Hey Minnesota, Your Democratic Representative, Betty McCollum Denies God
What is it with our elected representatives?
Why is there such a push to deny the Creator?
In my opinion, if you deny God, you must also irrationally deny absolutes. The United States is soon to be relegated to the pages of history, especially when the country is led by those who deny even the existence of God.
But, our elected officials have long ago denied the authority of God, first in their personal lives, that then influences their public life and decisions in leading the republic.
This is just a symptom and not the problem. The real problem is the authority of God needs to be present in our society. That authority is being attacked. In fact, it has been attacked for more than 100 years. The attack is on God’s word, and whether it can be trusted.
Watch as Betty McCollum, Dem – Minnesota, leads from the floor of the U.S. House in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. She deletes the words “under God” from the “Pledge of Allegiance.” The representative has said in explanation she was taking a breath. You be the judge, I know what my eyes see.
The authority of God’s word still stands… some verses do not speak well, if applied to our nation.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord – Psalm 33:12a
And another…
Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord! – Psalm 144:15b
While these promises do apply to Israel directly, they do in general speak to a principal. One that has guided our founding fathers. They knew Who bestows our individual rights .
But Proverbs 14:34 hammers the principle home. It says:
Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
Long has righteousness departed the leadership of this nation. And our national sin is plainly evident. We have slowly removed God from almost every institution of public life. When He is gone… and government becomes God… who will then bestow rights to you?
Don’t count on the government being benevolent… the early 20th century destroys the notion of a benevolent government “god.”
As for those who would deny God… I will leave you with one sobering thought. It is one that must make us shudder with fear. It IS a promise that we can claim, because God will keep it. It is found in Mark 8:34-38, Jesus is speaking.
And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? For what can a man give in return for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
Paul explains this section well in one sentence in 2 Timothy 2:12. He says, “if we deny him, he also will deny us.”
Good news, though, there is grace available for everyone, including Ms. McCollum. That same Jesus Who we would deny, will accept us just as we are. However, we must first repent and cling to the same God we now deny.

It Takes a Long Time to Starve a Severely Disabled Infant to Death by Withdrawing Medically-Supplied Nutrition
Who thinks of such barbarity?
This is utterly disgusting that an experiment like this would be carried out! It is even worse to change the name of basic human sustenance to nutrition and hydration.
This is just one step closer to Hitler’s ovens and the practice of eugenics to cleanse the population of those deemed undesirable.
Please remember, you ARE considered undesirable to someone else, we all are. But be very wary when someone can decide and act on who is deemed undesirable.
Consider some questions when you read things like this…
When did we consider food and water a medical treatment just because it has to be delivered by a tube?
Who decides when to stop this “medical treatment?”
Are we really that base?
Is this real science?
Is this HUMANE? (What I mean is do you “compassionately” starve animals to death?)
What has happened to humanity… are we really getting better as evolution requires?

Politics and Religion… Oh, Canada!
There is an interesting lesson for us from our seeming over-achiever of tolerance, neighbor to the north. It is not what you think it may be, but nevertheless interesting.
The words “separation of church and state” are venerated by those in the United States of the progressive bend. Their compatriots outside the U.S. also hold these words in high esteem. These words contain one of the most sacred doctrines of the political left. While they are not found in any governing document of the U.S., they are held by some to be the law of the land.
The hoped-for political effect of these words is to protect the populace from any who would who adhere to a absolute standard of morality. One that transcends from a holy God to us. This is as a result of Who He is and the fact that we, bearing His image, intuitively know that certain things are wrong. But there is a problem, it effects every single one of us.
The Politics and Religion
Scott Robb
In Edmonton, Canada, there is a local race for city council. In that race, one candidate stands out, only for his “non-conventional religious belief system.” His name is Scott Robb, his picture is at the right. He is a self-professed Satanist! No, not the kind of Satanist that worships the devil, silly!
His religion is called “Darkside Collective.” From the website much information can be gleaned. In essence Satan represents the forces of nature. It is the religion everyone would be if there was no religion (Not my words… And I know, the argument is circular.)
The website further asserts, atheists are either those who do not see a point in believing in a deity and are therefore hypocrites. Or are truly Satanists who fear the name, and thus are just cowards.
I sit and shake my head… Oh, I almost forgot, the lesson!
The Lesson
Satan has many names, they describe who he is. He is the father of lies. Yeah, there are some who worship him directly, and then there are others who are deluded into a dangerous game.
You see, the essence of what the Darkside Collective believes is that the self is the highest embodiment of human life. They even say it this way:
The simple answer that you would likely get from most Satanists is “Of course not, we are the highest power and there can be nothing higher!”
Wow, that really is a powerful statement! It leaves no room for God, does it?
I think that the things written on this website are true, this version of Satanism truly is the default religion. It is the religion of a deluded self and darkness that is spoke of in Romans 3:10-12. This is the one we are all born with, the delusion that we are the adequate in ourselves! While not really believing they worship any being called Satan, they really are.
Let us consider what God has to say In Ezekiel 28:1-2.
The word of the Lord came to me: (2) “Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: “Because your heart is proud, and you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of the gods, in the heart of the seas,’ yet you are but a man, and no god, though you make your heart like the heart of a god—
This is written to the king of Tyre… who is, by example or type, Satan. This is the SAME desire and the SAME sin of Satan, to be like the Most High, as is written in Isaiah 14:13-14.
You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; (14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’
As humans, we have also inherited this inclination. It is called pride, it is putting self before others, and God. Really making us god of our own lives. It is exactly what Adam chose in Genesis 3. Consider the craftiness of Satan as he proclaimed in Genesis 3:4-5.
But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. (5) For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
That is the deception we all fall under, that we can be like God. We all serve self, we practice that religion of the Darkside Collective, that self is the highest form of human life. But is that truly the highest form of humanity?
I say, emphatically… NO!
The Hope
You see, God knowing our predilection for sin, provided a way out of this bondage to self, and ultimately destruction. Jesus said in John 15:12-13:
“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. (13) Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
This, in my opinion is one of the higher forms of humanity… altruism and selflessness. We know this intuitively! We give medals to those who exhibit such behavior. We call them heroes, and we honor them.
As for that highest embodiment of human life… it is none other than Jesus. He came to Earth as a baby (Luke 1:26-33,) and lived as a man. He was not just any man, but the God man (John 1:1-13.) As a man, he could sin, just as you, in fact… he was even tempted to sin Matthew 4:1-11,) But as God did not, proclaiming “You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.”
He was betrayed (Mark 14:43-45,) tried and found innocent (Luke 23:3,) and sent to the cross so a murderer (Luke 23:18-19) could be freed!
He took that punishment willingly (Philippians 2:8,) becoming sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21,) and taking our punishment upon himself (Isaiah 53:3-5.) He gave up His Spirit (Matthew 27:50)willingly after crying “Tetelestai!” That is Greek for “It is finished!” It is what was put on a contract of an indentured servant when his debt was fulfilled, in other words, “paid in full!”
That means that the debt we owed to God for our lives of sin, was satisfied, completely!
That is not all, after three days He rose again, (1 Corinthians 15:3-8) the first fruits of resurrection. He was the embodiment of the hope we all have, a new body fit for eternity!
This is the hope of the Christian and the true invitation from God. Love mercy, act justly and walk humbly before Him (Micah 6:8.) How do we do that?
“Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent” – (John 6:29)
It is a simple thing to understand…
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (18) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” – John 3:17-18
There are only two options…
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. – John 3:36
Remember that murderer, Barabbas who was set free? He is you! And my hope is for you to know God, and believe in Jesus, that He died and rose again for you. You see, our just reward for offending an eternal being by how we choose to live for self is eternity in hell. But by the grace of God, He has provided a payment, an eternal being taking the punishment for our transgressions.
Therefore making a way for us to go to heaven!

The Power of a Portrait
I was looking over the Stand to Reason Blog, in particular, an article called Mass of Tissue.
That simple curiosity led to some photos that are spectacular, yet sad. Even though taken as a result of a sad set of circumstances, these two pictures speak volumes. Me being a man, I cannot fathom what it must feel like to be pregnant. But being a human, I understand things that are common to humanity. Things like life, liberty and dignity, these come to us as a part of being human.
One of the most human things, is that we are all unique persons. Even identical twins, who share DNA, are different, unique persons! We are made of something other than material… since DNA does not only uniquely identify a person.
What strikes me about these photos, is the completeness of the person, and the tininess. This person is only ten weeks past conception and fits inside the palm of an adult’s hand! We are truly unique, and plainly human at that size. Thank God that He knows every single one of us, even in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13.)
Sadly because of a cancer of the womb, the mother thought best to “terminate” the pregnancy. Her entire uterus was removed with the pre-born baby intact.
The photos speak for themselves…
Humanity does not begin at birth. We are conceived as unique humans with the right to life and liberty. And the right to live that life in dignity.
Here’s why unborn human beings are as valuable as adult human beings.

Tennessee High School Principal’s Remarks About Prayer at a Football Game
“This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee by school Principal Jody McLoud, on September 1, 2000.
I thought it was worth sharing with the world, and hope you will forward it to all your friends. It clearly shows just how far this country has gone in the wrong direction.
“It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games to say a prayer and play the National Anthem to honor God and Country. Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law.
As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it an alternate lifestyle, and if someone is offended, that’s OK.
I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity by dispensing condoms and calling it safe sex. If someone is offended, that’s OK.
I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a viable means of birth control.
If someone is offended, no problem.
I can designate a school day as earth day and involve students in activities to religiously worship and praise the goddess, mother earth, and call it ecology.
I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict people with strong, traditional, Christian convictions as simple minded and ignorant and call it enlightenment.
However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and ask Him to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, Federal Case Law is violated.
This appears to be at best, inconsistent and at worst, diabolical. Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone except God and His Commandments.
Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be at best, inconsistent and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.
For this reason, I shall, “Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s,” and refrain from praying at this time.
However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank God, and ask Him in the name of Jesus to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that’s not against the law—-yet.”

Islam, Political Correctness, Apologies and ‘The View’
On Thursday 14 October 2010, Bill O’Reilly appeared on the view. As the conversation turned to the subject of the Ground Zero Mosque, tempers flew!
O’Reilly is of the opinion, like most Americans that the location of the mosque is “inappropriate,” and for the exact reason he gave, O’Reilly said:
“Because Muslims killed us on 9/11. That’s why.”
After some heated words and Joy Behar rising from her seat to leave the set, Whoopi Goldberg followed. While Barbara Walters offered apologies for her co-hosts’ action, she chided Bill for being incorrect.
Interestingly, though, Walters said to O’Reilly:
“Now let me just say in a calmer voice, it was extremists. You cannot take a whole religion and demean them.”
I find that quite disingenuous, considering the intense derision of Christianity on her very show and collusion with her peers. Really Barbara? How shallow and vapid a remark, that is! Reminds me of the adage, those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Or better… Jesus in His own words, Matthew 7:3-4!
Then, something really funny happened! Bill offered an “apology,” he said:
“If anybody felt that I was demeaning all Muslims, then I apologize.”
As Whoopi and Joy returned to the set a few minutes later, Joy stated:
“We’re back because now you apologized.”
Bill did not really apologize, he placed a condition in front of it negating the apology, simply because he believes his remarks should not be offensive. But the two women were not savvy enough to understand, and accepted it as an apology.
Now that is funny! Too bad, those who practice political correctness do not understand their own self-delusion and self-imposed stupidity.

Church Worship – The Climb?
Well, when I think that I’ve heard everything… Saddlebacksore Church makes me sit back and shake my head. Especially after the Jonas brothers singing odes of their lust for girls at the church’s Easter service.
In this video is a song popularized by the spiritledspirited artist, Miley Cyrus, who has traded the realm of the ‘tween for sleaze. Sadly, the song was sung in “church” for worship.
Rick Warren, affectionately termed America’s Pastor, is the pastor of Saddlebacksore Church. His teachings are widely available and infused with an undertone of Pelagianism. Pelagianism teaches that man has the ability in and of himself to obey God and earn eternal salvation.
As worship at this church, the song is fitting. The worship is to the one doing the work of salvation… oneself. It is the message of the work one must do, do, do to obtain salvation.
Christian, apostasy is not overt, it is subtle. Over time, tiny, small changes add up to compromise! There is an old saw about swallowing an elephant. It is not accomplished all at once, but one bite at a time. This is the same trick the enemy loves to use!
Jesus cried “Tetelesti!” In other words… “It is finished,” or “paid in full!” This is recorded for us in John 19:30. We know that there is no more work required by anyone for salvation, it has been accomplished!
Paul exhorts us in Philippians 2:12 to “work out” our own salvation with fear and trembling. This is not working at, or working up our own salvation, but humbly submitting our selfish will to a holy, sinless God, Who Himself has given us justification freely!
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Check out Romans 5:1-2.

Potential Church
Something really interesting happened on 10/10/10 at 10:00 PM. Flamingo Road Church changed its name to Potential Church.
I have a few questions…
Are you not really a church, but want to be one soon?
Are you a really powerful church ready to explode?
I mean really… what is it with church names these days?
Why do churches rely on growth by programs and education of one pastor? Is it not good enough to not let man DO and solely rely upon God add to His church such as should be saved, a la Acts 2:41?
Why do churches and pastors have to PROMOTE the name of the pastor, and use them as website URLs to unify a church? Does the pastor have a brand? Are you serving your own ego?
Is there a board of elders that oversee here, like a proper New Testament church, or is it just the pastor and what he wants?
The last question I have, after having searched this website high and low tonight…
WHERE IS JESUS?
Is Potential Church so ashamed of the name of Jesus that it is nowhere to be found on the website at its inauguration?
These are questions every Christian MUST ask of their church!
